 --The ‘F.E.A.R. Jury’ reveals the 4 charges that convicted the Top Thrill Haunted Attraction--

The ‘F.E.A.R Jury’ is a panel of Haunted Attraction Aficionado’s.   The ‘F.E.A.R Jury’ judges an attraction for  maximum intensity and thrills ensuring even the most daring Haunted Attraction fanatics to get their monies worth.   

The ‘F.E.A.R. Jury’ judges an attraction using their distinctive mantra, “If the F.E.A.R. fits, we must convict!”.  To support their mantra, judgments are based upon the 4 ‘F.E.A.R.’ charges:

Charge 1. Frighting: Does the attraction assault each of the five senses without regard to the victim.                   
GUILTY

Charge 2. Edginess: Does the attraction create a lingering fear after the initial Fright dies out.                                
GUILTY

Charge 3. Appropriate: Is there a quality continuous connection of a specific theme through out the attraction.
GUILTY

Charge 4. Realism: Is there sufficient evidence of realism with each Frightening experience for a delay of disbelief.
GUILTY

The ‘F.E.A.R. Jury’ is a volunteer based panel that believes a Hung jury is not always a bad outcome.  The judged attraction must be convicted on all charges or their name is never released to the public. 

In the Case of the ‘F.E.A.R. Jury’ vs. ‘Fears Gate’, they were judged and found guilty of all ‘F.E.A.R.’ charges and convicted as one of Southern California’s Top Thrill Attractions for Halloween.

As the 2010-11 ‘F.E.A.R. Jury’ Leader, Tom Devlin of 1313fx (www.1313fx.com) brings industry Special Makeup FX experience and success to the Jury.  His credits include working on several feature films such as The Scorpion King, Red Dragon and Daredevil in addition to the TV series CSI Miami and X-Files for which they were nominated for an Emmy.
